If you know anything about me, you know that flowers are totally my thing. I don't care what time of year it is, or where I get them, I just love having flowers near me. My duvet on my bed is a bright floral pattern, my placemats are as well, and I'm a sucker for a candle that smells like lillies. I've even gone so far as to put flowers in my food!
So when I found out about the LA Flower District downtown, I knew I had to put it on my bucket list. It's a whole section of DTLA dedicated to flowers. Theres wholesale markets, supply stores and flower shops all over. After doing some research online I decided that I wanted to visit the original flower market. I called up my friend, Jackie and convinced her to come with me. Cheap flowers should be an easy sell by themselves, but I asked her to come with me at 6 am on a Saturday morning which was understandably difficult. We managed to pull ourselves out of bed and get to the market on time. I also asked her to bring her camera, and just about all the photos that I'll be featuring in this post were taken by her.
